Jeethu Joseph brings a thriller into a village living room. Mohanlal’s Georgekutty is not a hero; he is a frightened father, and that is the film’s moral weight. Quiet shots in the second half remember the laughter of the first, and the plot tightens. A few police conveniences remain. It is still one of the sharpest family thrillers Malayalam cinema has made.
